Discover how Caternet eProcurement systems helped to modernise and automate this successful chain of pubs, bars, nightclubs, hotels and restaurants.

The business challenge
As the largest operator of licensed premises in Northern Ireland, Beanchorr was growing fast but still dealt with archaic manual processes – processes that slowed down ordering goods and paying suppliers for operators and finance.
Beanchorr pride themselves on excellent attention to detail; they needed a software that was easy to use, always accurate and provided live data. That way their purchasing team could make the right commercial decisions, while controlling costs, when choosing suppliers and products.
They also wanted to ensure all of their suppliers could trade electronically to benefit their operator’s admin time, and the Beanchorr Company as a whole.
The solution
In 2012, Beanchorr and Caternet agreed that the eProcurement module was the right fit for all. Working in harmony within Beanchorr’s current operations, our automated system was simple to implement across all departments. Which established a reliable, cost-effective eProcurement foundation.
After a successful first phase, Caternet’s software was rolled out to all existing locations and implemented into all new businesses. Being fully maintained and updated by suppliers allowed Beanchorr to accept and reject any cost changes to their goods or services in real-time. This quickly gave them total control of their spending, which reduced their annual spend in the first year and every year thereafter.
Caternet also successfully reduced admin time within operations and purchasing. With live reporting, and stock consumption right down to item level, no more time was wasted trying to predict how orders, transactions and stock could affect their business.

The support from Caternet has been fantastic. Our operators are very happy with the system and the finance team has reduced their admin time. We know that there is more to get out of the relationship and are in constant dialogue with the Caternet team. Kevin Reilly Purchasing Manager, Beanchorr
